got dyno numbers on the EVO...

just got a call from TurboTrix, I had them work a little magic and the results are about 335awhp!

I know they're not big f-body numbers, but not bad for a 4 banger.

I'll post exact results when i get the sheets

intake, exhaust, 21lbs, HKS 272 cams, walboro fuel pump, clutch(stock cluth is made of paper), TurboTrix tune.

next up:IC piping, header(i don't like this singular thing), possible front lsd, possible water or alky injection.

I'm not going to radical, ultimate goal is 350-400awhp because it'll end up being my family car, so I'm about there.

wait until august. the Evo IX is coming out, and the dealers will want to get rid of all the VIII's they still have. BIG rebates.

bought it used from a 3rd party dealer in NY with the intake & exhaust on it already. they told me it had a full warranty, when I brought it to a Mitsu dealer, they said it was voided. When my lawyer told them this, they said they would honor the remainder of the factory warranty. I got lucky and found a very cooperative dealership, and have a lawyer for a godfather.

Wow that's pretty nice. Now you'll need to take it to the track and see what it can do.

one of my coworkers has an EVO, he loves the thing. Nice car, he just got a CF hood and trunk and last dynoed it at ~400hp, after he gets a stand-alone system, he is just gonna make it a show car. Quick off the line, but not the best from a roll. I remember he was runnin 13.0 and I was only at 13.4(maybe due to runnin high octane(104??)), but I sitll beat him from a 60-120. I wouldn't mind havin one, long as I could keep the camaro

if hes dynoing 400whp and runnin high 12s low 13s he needs to get learned how to drive...300whp evos are good for 12.90s with a good driver

I'm sorry, I didn't phrase that right, when we raced and he was runnin 13.0 he probably had around 300hp, that was probably 8months ago at the Etown Import vs Domestic and EVO vs WRX day

thanks for all the props! Since I also had a new clutch put in, I haven't been rough on it yet, but you can feel a HUGE difference in "freeway acceleration". It idles like a lopey 5.0's retarded little brother though!

I think I'm gonna call it...

"Project Compensation"-in honor of my missing 1/2 my engine
