guilty musical pleasures

ok 'fess up... everybody's got 'em - stuff you jam out to in ur ride when no ne else is in the car w/ you.

Huey Lewis & The News - lyrics are so bad they're good
Hall & Oates - same as above
Black Eyed Peas - was into them before they went uber-pop & I still like 'em now.

there's mine...

I'm not ashamed of any of my music. I torture my friends with my odd music collection often, right guys? Tim seems to be about the only person who likes most of it - like my Wenis CD....

Reminds me of the one time I rolled up next to an RSX-S, playing classical music as loud as that 1987 Bose stereo would let me.
I listen to all types of music, but it needs to hit pretty hard.
Enter the Sandman, Metalica
Walk, Pantera
Numb, Likin Park
Paranoid, Third Strike
and of course...We Will Rock You, Queen

Aside from a nearly complete collection of Pink Floyd, most of the Cds in my car are hard rock / heavy metal. Disturbed, Mudvayne, Metallica, Ozzy, Megadeth... if it started in the 80's I probably have it.

The one thing I play in the car that no one else I usually see seems to like... is Bob Marley and the Wailers. His tunes are catchy if over-politicized.

EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING!
The usuals are Misfits, Muse, Transplants, Carcass, In Flames, NWA, Slick Rick, and Slayer(iPod systems rock!)
no real guilty pleasures, i think I got all the bases covered with the best of the best, so even if it's a bad genre, i got the best of the bad.

I like mostly every type of music, aside from boy band ****. On my mp3 in the t-bird, I go from classic rock, to modern rap lol, it just depends on the individual song as far as lyrics and beat.

I'm not ashamed with any of the music i play either.

the odd ****:
Jefferson Starship - We Built This City
Europe - Final Countdown
Temptations - Ain't Too Proud To Beg
Louie Armstrong - What a Wonderful World

then ive got my music being metallica, pantera, BLS, slayer, him, dimmu borgir, lamb of god, lacuna coil, dream theater, ozzy...that list goes on and on and on.

when i feel like old school: dire straits, van halen, journey, bon jovi.

when i feel like bein a thug and bumpin...ying yang twins, 2 live crew, anything else that hits.

depending what day/mood it is you can catch me listening to damn near anything.

Tim, YOU scare people :P , you don't need the music! You could be leathal just from sight and song. j/k
I had no idea you worked in a music store. Name some obscure stuff you listen too.
Using winamp's Media Library under "Most Played" I've got (only the obscure and suprised me);
Third Eye Blind, Rick Springfield, American Hi-Fi, Maroon 5, The Killers, Presidents of the United States, Goo Goo Dolls, Deep Blue Something, Tracey Chapman, and Blues Traveler.
The ones that didn't suprise me; Crystal Method, Velvet Revolver, R.A.T.M., Talking Heads, Led Zep, Pearl Jam, Linken Park, AC/DC, Counting Crows, Metallica, Everclear, Bruce Springsteen, Depeche Mode, Blind Guardian, Collective Soul, Blink 182 (getting sick of them), Prodigy, Green Day, Filter, and my all time fav... Tool. I don't know why but I can't make my mind up about Limp Bizkit. I don't know any of the newer bands.

hell yeah! I listen to country whenever I'm riding alone or with someone else who doesnt mind it. I grew up on classic rock, aerosmith, zeppelin, journey, def leppard, skynyrd, the who, seager, then i also have tool, korn, metallica, pearl jam, nine inch nails, whatever... as long as i can sing to it... and it doesnt have to sound good when i do

Hmm....Tim has a 250GB music server that I built for him full, and I think he still has a few hundred CDs laying around.

We need to get to work on that new dedicated server, don't we Tim?

Yea, I told him to just save them as MP3s at like a 192 bitrate, but he wasn't hearing it. You know how stubborn Timmy is. It's a real pain in the ass to steal music and then have to convert it all.

I think I actually have more music than Tim though - I have close to 30GB on my computer (mostly at 112 or 128), and I just found another stack of CDs that haven't been ripped...
