I'd really like all of your opinions.
Hey guys and girls, for those of you that don't know me, I post on here mostly in other sections and on a couple other fbody forums... but ya I'm a recording artist on F2F Records, and I'm releasing my debut album mid July. I've been hard at work on it for the last 4-5 months and its finally finished, just getting it pressed up now.
Well, I just posted up the first 4 tracks off my album "The Brilliance" on MySpace Music. And I'd really like it if you would give it a listen. You know the game, gotta make new fans. So I figured hey, I'm on here all the time * well a lot less lately, being so busy * but either way I would really appreciate it if you could just take out a couple minutes and see if you like what I'm bringin to the table?

So check it out! Enjoy! Thanks again!

The short bits I heard sound good, but I'd need to hear more before I'd could really say, yeah, I like it, or no, not my thing.

I'll say you have talent but I dont know what niche you'll fit in if you plan on becoming uber popular...your not hardcore enough to be in that crowd yet your not soft enough to join that crowd either...one way or the other I think if you wrote that stuff yourself you have alot of talent and good luck to you...its a tough business to break into hopefully it all works out well for ya...this coming from a guy that listens to clowns for the most part

thanks, ya i write all the lyrics. dont do the beats tho, i cant take credit for those. i just hunt down the producers and find the beats that fit the words. but ya thanks for listening guys. and right now im not sure what niche i fit in either, but i think i could mesh well with some linkin park fans, and thats a huge diverse audience. so im doin what i do, haha. thanks again to all of u.
lets go any others? haha

you do remind me of Linkin Park, but it's not in your lyrics, it's from the beat/music. pretty good tho, i'd prolly buy your album, and I mean actually go to the store and buy it

Honestly, rap & rap/metal I don't dig in general. But after being in a band (not anymore, we broke up) for 5 years and having put some indie releases out, I know how tough it is to put your stuff out and get notice. To be objective, the recording sounds very professional and you have talent. Your look is also marketable so if you don't fit a into a niche at first, your label will probably find you one that they want you to get into. Good luck!

Whats your goal? Platnium after the first week? Gold after 2? Aluminum after a month?

'off the pad' came out strong nice beat and good rips, nice place to put the MJ thing in the opening verse
'break me down' has the best beat, but i didnt really like the speed in it
'let it go' too slow for me, i just dont like slow rap at all so its not you :P...just dont pull a ja rule lol
'between 2 worlds' just a good song, nice work on that one
overall sounds like you got your **** together...keep on keepin on 8)

Not exactly my favorite genre, but I appreciate all styles of music. Given your genre, I think you have some real talent. I agree, it does sound Linkin Park-ish... it also seems like Eminem is a bit of an inspiration in the music... imo.
My first reaction to Between 2 Worlds was that it should be like an intro/outro song to a movie or something... like, I could definitely see this song being part of like "2 Fast 2 Furious" soundtrack or something. Anyone else see/hear this?

Al- sounds good man, and hope to see ya again this weekend. and dennis needs to not be a flamer and come out too.
ls1hawk - thanks man, ya im glad im out of the band scene now. but this is tough no doubt, im doin my best to find my market, thanks for takin the time to listen.
squirrel - thanks man, lol ironically the slower track has been a real hit, alot of people love my slow stuff. but thanks for the track by track, ur the first to do that. i appreciate u takin the time out to listen. and i will keep on keepin on! you too!
JPiZZ - ya man a lot of all kinds of music, but def. Em is one of my favs, and as a white rapper, its almost impossible to not sound like him atleast a little. but im tryin hard to establish my own sound. altho my influences will always show. oh and ya ive gotten that a few times, the movie reference. and im really glad people noticed that. im huge in to movies, so i try to keep a very visual aspect apparent in my music, which is hard to do, but ull notice i set the scene alot, use alot of descriptive words and ****, its something i think adds a whole different dimension to the music. thanks again for taking a listen.
Tru2- Good **** man, you know ill keep you posted! no prob.

I noticed that more as I kept listening. I kinda zoned out and I could begin to visualize what you were saying. Again, good stuff, and keep it coming

Dennis coming out does not decide if he is a flamer or not...I think we all know what makes him a flamer.
That he owns a Mustang.

pretty damn good! i used to be in a heavy metal band for a few years, and I miss the whole music scene. A friend of mine and I are putting together a two-man band, he'll handle the bass/guitar, and I'll do the vocals. drums will come from a synthesizer or something.
"Off the Pad" - good beat, good rhymes! and like the end of the song says "this is a catchy-ass song".
"Between 2 Worlds" - real dark song....i like the subject matter. has a good tempo. not too many raps are like this one.
"Break Me Down" - damn, you can rap fast...this song has a nice pounding beat to it. a nice mix of rap and rock. I like it a lot.
"Let it Go" - good song, a little more hip-hop than the rest i think. the girl who sings on it sounds pretty good, also.
keep up the good work, man!
