i just painted the hood for my car. tell me what you thing
i painted the hood for my car yesterday. so i went into work to wetsand and buff it today. it came out really nice other than a huge sag in the last coat of clear right at the font of the cowl on the passenger side. that pissed me off so much. i sanded it out but you can still see a shadow. im going to try and sand it alittle more tomorrow. im probably going to have to paint it agian, which pretty much sucks but what am i going to do. oh well, i through it on the car just for the hell of it. let me know what you guys think. follow the link and scroll down to the bottom

believe me, if i could drive it i would. the other day i drove it to work and i get about 3/4 of the way there and its leaking antifreeze like a bastard. so i pull over and take a look. it was the gasket on the back of the water pump. so i call up the tow truck at back to my house it went.so i put a new gasket on and why'll i was doing that i shorted out the altinator on the valve cover. now it wont start. i checked all the fusses and there all good. so i think that i fried the msd box. im going to send it back to summit and see if they'll send me another one. hopefully it will all work out. so long story short i will be at wycoff but not with the camaro. i had the camaro at wycoff about 3 weeks ago, no one really looked at it.
and yes it is sunset orange

well i dont really want to credit to tye bodyshop that i used to work at for my own work. they don't do the quality work that i do. that one of the reasons i left. i dont want my name on crap work. the shop i work at now does so-so work. its not bad but its not great. but im probably going to be leaving there shortly to be a mechanic.
i have an update on the hood. as usual everything has to fight me. i tried sanding out that run alittle more and ended up sanding through the paint. thats not that big of a deal. i can just reshoot the hood in about an hour. no biggy. but i started looking at the rest of the hood and noticed some cracks that were in the gelcoat came back. i dont know how this could have happened. i sanded the cracks out of the gelcoat then i feather filled it(sprayable body filler), then i blocked the feather fill, then i primed it, then i blocked the prime, then i primer it again and blocked again, and then did that one more time. then i final blocked it for paint and painted it. so i dont know if i should just sand it smooth and repaint it, but the cracks will most likely come back. im really starting to get sick of this ****ing car.
