Worse day i had in a log time

well i finally got back from the day from hell.
i'll start from this morning. i was looking for a motor for my 240sx. to my dismay, the only ones i found were over 2500. more than i wanted to spend. i also spent over 3 hours looking for information about the whole swap procedure. i only found some articles, not enough though.

strike 1

next, i was optimistic that i would find a vender or two at the e town swap meet. i go there, paid the 8 bucks to get in, looked around for 2 hours and found absolutely nothing. no jdm motors or vendors to be found

strike 2

well i get home to chill and one of my friends call me to tell me that some cars wanted to race. there was an sti and a supercharged vette. so i tell him, i want a piece of the vette. well he never shows up and tells me to meet him monday. oh well. so i decided to go on a little drive up 287 north. actually going the speed limit and just cruising, when i accidently missed my exit for 208( i think it was that or 202) anyway, my friend sees a cop on the grass on the other side of the road. so we know now that when we go back, we need to take it slow. so we do that. we see the cop has already pulled another guy so we keep on driving. than seconds later, i see the cop behind me. and he pulls me over. at this point i was like wtf. i was going 60 in a 65. so he comes up to me and i ask, "did i do anything wrong officer" he said no, but your cover or your plates are illegal. i give him my license, reg, insurance and pba card. so i tell him, sorry officer, i don't drive the car too often, and it was dusty. than he tells me to roll up my windows. and procedes to tell me that tints were illegal. so he goe back to the cop car and about 5 mintues later, he gives me a ticket for tints and freakin takes my pba card. i'm like wtf!!!!!
here;s the worse part. as many people know, my car smells like crap when you are behind it, it'll make you cry (no cats and the smell of fuel)
i try to leave, but my car stalls cause i don't want to warm it up in front of him, fearing that he would come back and fine the crap out of me for no cats. so, i left and he stayed back.

strike 3

well i thought, this must be the worse day ever!!!!!. but i was WRONG.
i was going to drop me friend off in west orange. so i was driving, when this nice e46 drives by and floors it a little. i was like, it's on. so i follow him to a secluded highway. i get next to him and he goes and i play catch up. i out about 50%, h's leaving me, about a car, hit 70%, i see my boost gauge spikeing at 12lbs. so i stop, and rolll to the light. i say good race an we both leave (think he sprayed, but no ricer excuses for me, i lost and got served) well at this time, i see my car smoking, so i pull in to a huge parking lot. i open the hood, oil everywhere. i blew a line or did something bad. had to wait for a tow truck and finally got home about 15 minuts ago.

soo pissed right now. i almost regret going boost. almost

Thats a pretty ****** night. Usually if the cop takes the card it works like get out of jail free, no ticket. Thats a real dick to take it AND give you the ticket. Usually they ask me where my cards came from, like what town, and I can rattle them of name by name, (I have quite a few), so I've only had them taken away once, by a cop I knew, who gave them back to my dad the next day. I dunno what was worse, losing the cards or getting reamed out for speeding by pop.

You're lucky as heck he didn't catch the missing cats. Why would you remove the cats when you plan on driving the car? High flow cats only cost maybe 3-7 hp so might as well keep it legal. And everyone knows window tint is illegal as well and the license plate cover. Sounds like your car is a walking billboard for getting pulled over. Not trying to sound harsh, but it sounds like no surprise you were pulled over.

***** happens man, he must have been a dick to take the PBA card. Just like the jackass two weeks ago after the grease trucks who pulled me over and took my PBA card. We can put it this way the guy who gave me the card was the Captain of a large PD in NJ and this rookie took it. I sure hope the cop calls him so the Captain can ream him a new *******! I get screwed with all the time in my camaro the cops know something is not right about the car when they do the roadside inspections but have to let me go since everything "looks" legit!
Later

You may not have them in PA, they're essentially get out of jail free cards. I think all cops can purchase them, hten they give them out to close friends. I hvae one marked 'family member', thats the ultimate get out free card.

policemens benevolent association (sp) its like a law enforcement union and it shows officers that you know or are related to another officer, usually ending your situation with a verbal reprimand and some professional curtosy.

and melissa...the ultimate pba card is pulling one with your own name on it 8)

trooper cards usually only work when pulled over by a trooper, same goes for a local cop's card in the event of getting pulled over by a local cop. My good friend chris is a cop in jersey city and they always crack on the troopers. maybe things are different down where you are Â*

a little yellow triangle with the letters STFA. or a gold shield attached to your windshield above the inspection sticker is always good. of course i have neither of those, but i do have a family member card from a state cop, which has gotten me out of several tickets, be it local or trooper.
