People who dirve two different cars

I guess this only applies to people with daily drivers or two cars. Why is it, when i'm in my v6 camaro, people never really look at me or mess with me (well except for that one time with the e46).

But when i'm in the wrx, people always stare me down, thinking i'm going to race. sometimes it makes me want to up the boost in the wrx

both cars look stock,so i wonder why?

in my experience, I've had more people wanting to race my Formula than people wanting to race my EVO. I don't get it, true the EVO is faster, but the Formula had str8 pipes to a Loudmouth, so you can imagine how hostile that car sounded.

With my SS, no one would ever want to race, well the few that tried didnt get very far. i dunno if it was the look of the car or the wide open exhaust with no muffler or cat, lol. But when i have the dodge ram out or my denali, it seems like everyone thinks they're jeff gordon. for example on sunday a WRX started messing around with me or rt 303 in NY, and i was just driving my Denali to the mall, but i think he was surprised when he couldnt get ahead of me and i finally backed off and let him go at 105 mph.

once i got my cat-back everyone wanted to race. before that i could barely pick up a street race. i guess the rims did some also considering that was a red flag that a kid was driving it

When I am in the Z28 people tend to gas it more especially if were at a light, and I am usually never one to dissapoint them in laying the gas to the mat and not let them pass me. With the Z I tend to mostly people in their BMW or MB that want to mess around and alot of people driving mini vans I havent gotten the chance to race some rice in a while. Now when I am in the Chevelle when i pull up next to people in those BMWs and MBs at a light they stare straight ahead in utter fear ricers start crying, the mini vans disappear from the street all together, I get every damn red light known to man and only the old dudes in Corvettes wanna play. Only once have I ever gotten a race against an import with the Chevelle and the import ended up breaking. It said "EFF dis, im gonna lose so here take this piston and put it through that cylinder wall!"

Its because they know the camaro is probably fast, and they know were all a bunch of sneaky bastards, so they pick on the stuff their pretty confident they can beat!

honestly unless you've been under a rock for the last 5 years most people should know a wrx runs 14.7's stock unless its an sti whereas your "v6" its a mid 13 second car at worst in stock form...I always size up my competition and weigh my odds of them being heavily modded...most cars are very lightly modded & will perform damn near stock...I know what my car is capable of and pick my races in that way. If I know the car is 14.00 or better stock i probably have no shot so will rarely race...but if i see a 4.6 mustang unless its a boss or a cobra i know stock for stock i have a shot.

i guess people really are just scared of f-body's...

datsun 280zx: raced every import within a 10 mile radius
montero: raced jetta's, jeeps and camry's
navigator: raced buicks, mountaineers, and other small suv's
camaro: revved at by civics, but only in the rain (so far only raced a benz coupe, jaguar sedan, and a white LS1)

I definitely get people that want to race me in the Camaro vs. when I'm driving my mom's Hyundai Elantra... I can definitely see the difference in the way people look. However, I've been taken on by many: BMW's, ricers, Evo's, Civics, and so on.... I haven't really seen a discrimination based on car, it's been more based on the person. If the person thinks they've got the balls to take me on, they will.

Oh yeah, and old people in Vettes too... I raced an 06 Vette from a roll down Rt 18 a week or two ago... crazy ****. He had like 20+ car lengths on me when we hit 100. lol

people wanna race me sometimes, one time in the center of town this dude in an old beat ass car was like "yo, race me!" i had like 2 or 3 of my friends with me so i couldnt turn him down, needless to say i blew him away! one other time i raced a truck (lightning or sumthin like that) but he won, cuz there was a car infront of me and nothing infront of him :-/

well before i got my car modded, i would go after cars that were in my range or cars that were "quicker" than me.
at this moment in time, i would only pick on cars that i know will be a good race or one that i will probably beat me. however, if they throw a rev or pick on me, than that's a different story

i guess this leads to other pet peeve. why in the hell would a car that runs 13s pick on cars that run 14.5s-15s. i had this happen to me and i wonder why people pick on slower car. btw a charger was pickin on the good ole wrx.

are people with rwd v8 so insecure that they feel the need to pick on 4 bangers?

ive had alot of 4 bangers pick on me, lol, one time a hatchback civic started with me and i gave it a go, he only beat me by like half a car length at which point we had to stop for a light, and he had to spray nitrous to even get that far ahead, oh and i was in my old car, a 95 caddy sts(ran 13.8) so i assume he was a mid 13's civic.

i love messing with anyone when i have my dodge ram out, ill try to race everythign, usually ill lose but soemtimes i surprise people, the best are racing v6 stangs and s10 xtremes who think they are so fast. the rams turbo screams so loud its not even funny, and i havent done the upgrades yet, i need a dually rear to get any real traction.

But as a rule i wont start with a known slower car, but if they rev or try to pull away at a rate i think is too fast and seems to be racing, ill go for it. lol

it seems when i am driving my camaro, i never come across anything cool, once in a while. but driving my truck i'll see a ton of mustangs or vettes, or other camaro's. the best ever i saw this 67 chevelle , that i 've seen around, caged, snorkel scoop, tin interior, skinny's and slicks, etc. (probably really not that fast, but deff looks it). i would leave work and turn the bottle on since it was always warm enough sitting in the sun in a parking lot, got next to the velle going around a circle, purge it for him, (in traffic waiting for a break to exit the circle) an stab it blowing the tires away across the road. he ended following me for about 15 minutes till i made my next turn. good time

Many people know my v6... and I've gotten less and less street races back in the town I used to live in.

Ricer's go after me in the neon.

No one goes after me in the benz
