it really does work i got one for no reasone and used it about a week ago for my radio and does get back to room temp fast but not really fast

I heard from a lot of people (one being Robws6) that the cold heat sucks.

Probably just a case of good idea poor execution?

That think is JUNK. If you were to use that on any type of circutry it will be destroyed. Im J-std ISO certified in circut solder repair/rework... you want a good iron, get a Metcal.
