taht crack is jsut in the bell housing though. NBD, just get it off the car, clean up the crack, and take it to pete's welding on olden ave. they will have it zapped back together in about 1 minute.

later

to add to the fun like i stated the one starter bolt was missing...the other...well lets say the starter isnt salvagable a portion of the starter cracked off which really kinda makes me nervous...either ok the starter(which was a remanufactured one anywayz) was a defect & the aluminum just gave way or somehow that flywheel is locked up...ahh gotta love it. I did get a bunch of the interior anti riced by painting it black so the interior is looking better. Didnt get around to the Tq arm yet, but hopefully soon. Then I have to figure out what i need to do to get the rest of this stupid egr off. Hey craig, buddy, stop over anytime Anywayz i've named it project "Close Enough" after what looks to be alot of fun hehe.

the way i look at it is that crack was probably not there before it was reinstalled unless the person installing it was blind...now i have no clue what other problems with it lie before me but I will say that tranny was probably not in that shape before it was installed last.

it actually starts in the front of the bellhousing now that ive looked at it a little more...so in reality there are at least two cracks...pass. side is fine from the looks of it. Also if you look where the quick connect fitting above that it looks cracked too unless its supposed to be like that, which is possible. Its not pretty.

The original owner deserves it in that condition after the months Craig spent trying to get the trans from him.
