I'm not saying that I dont believe you, but this is the reason I am looking for a sound clip. Some people say it sounds just like a Flowmaster but a little better, and other people say different. Thanks for your reply though.
Anyone else have some input/clip?

Get the Hooker cat-back. I had the Flowmaster on my old 93 and it sounded decent. But I've heard the Hooker on a couple of cars and it sounds the best for the money.

Ok I heard a clip of the Hooker exhaust, it wasnt my taste. I like the TSP Rumbler.

If you're looking to put an exhaust on a 6 cyl car, then forget about any soundclips from a V8 car, there's no comparison. Some of the exhausts sound ok at idle on a V6 but they all sound lousy once you hit the gas. So I would just go with the cheapest if you're looking to pick up power because none of them will sound good on a V6.

Yeah, I listened to a lot of soundclips on v6's today. No matter what I get, there is going to be rasp at high RPM's. The TSP Rumbler didnt sound that bad, probably one of the best. Plus it is cheap ($279 w/ tips). Flowmaster is $265 with 2.5" pipes, where on the other hand The Rumbler is 3". I hope to get my exhaust by Christmas, so I have another week or two to think of what I want.

I will reccomend Magnaflow, it's decent sounding, quality, and straight-thru

Yes I have heard Magnaflow. Doesnt sound bad. Just a bit out of my price range. If they knocked off a hundred bucks, I'd think about it.
Thanks.

You definitely don't need dual 3" tailpipes. I ran the Flowmaster with 2.5" tailpipes on my supercharged 93 Z28. Actually, my neighbour's friend has a V6 Camaro with a flowmaster and dual 3" pipes and it's horrible sounding. Listening to a soundclip of a car sitting there revving it's engine is no comparison to what the car sounds like while driving it under load. Believe me, this V6 Camaro sounds terrible driving away. Keep the tailpipes small and it won't sound nearly as bad. Big tailpipes are for

Thanks for your input guys. I am really tight on money, and I pretty much decided to go with Flowmaster.

Isnt your car a 3.4? I cant immagine a 3.4 sounding any better then a 3.8. My personal Opinion, Kasey's car sounds GREAT at idle, almost exactly like my Z, but when he gets on it does get alittle anoying but its nothing compared to Jame's car!
If I had a 3.4, Id stick to a simple magnaflow muffler, or even a flowmaster, but I wouldnt bother with a cat-back.

3.4 sound > 3.8 sound
60* v6s sound way better than 90*
They all sound like rice when you rev em up, but most 3.4 sound pretty good till around 3k RPMs.
The only thing that will help the rasp is a bullet muffler.

Did you find a clip of the TSP on an LT1 car?
Because thats the exhaust I am leaning towards but I haven't been able to find a clip.
Also I have a flowmaster muffler on my car now that came with the car when I bought it. I'm going to sell it when I get my new exhaust but I'm not talking it off till March or April because my car is already parked for the winter.
Just a thought if you felt like waiting.
The Flowmaster sounds good but its not the sound I'm looking for.
I'm either going for a Loudmouth or a Rumbler still undecided.
