fell
yup i fell. again. i was walkin outside to go clean off my car. and slipped on the new stairs outside. fell down all 3 steps... one step hit each my arm. my upper back. my lower back. and of course my ass. then not to mention i hit my head. (and got a bloody nose) but since i hit my back so much and so hard. i cudnt move. so i laid there for a couple of minutes trying to get up then i had to put alllll my weigh on my knees so now theyre swollen and very painful. (i already have bad knees, in case u didnt know) and im too cold to ice them so... yea theyre gunna stay swollen for a while. of course i havent taken the anti-inflamitory yet... but its all the way down stairs in the kitchen...
*sore.

aw that sucks. I would just relax for a bit, unless you truly need to go out.
Last time I fell on ice I wound up at the hospital. I pretty much was horozontal in mid-air, then when gravity pulled me back down from the heavens, I braced my fall with my left hand.
Funny thing about it was it was close to about midnight and I was trying to get the rear in my T/A finished since I needed it the next morning. Anyone who knows about suspension work is that the rusted bolts always cause bloody knuckles and hands.
I was walking through my back yard to get a tool and .....ouch. Next thing I'm at the hospital with blood, grease, dirt, pain, they thought I got beat up. Turns out i had a very severe sprain (thank god i didnt break it).

Slipping on ice is an everyday thing during a snowstorm for me at work. I got a really bad knee too, and if the slightest thing hits it, Im done... lol but take an 800mg Ibuyprofin (sp?) aka Horse Pills, and it'll knock the pain right out.

Sounds like your knees are troublesome, you should replace them with carbon fiber ones like James did.

u guyz are talkin about ibuprofen for pain. im not on pain killers. the relafen is to keep my knees from swelling.

Ibuprofin is an anti-inflamitory. It will reduce swelling.
Oh yeah, be more careful next time to navigate stairs in these conditions. I almost ate it walking up my driveway last night!
