red ws6 lookin 4 good mods
i have a 98 ta with a few light mods and i need opinions on brands i wana try.right now i have n slp cat bak & mti clear air lid. im thinking of getting the dyna tech header system n im wondering if ne 1 has them. they look pretty good n there about $1300 which aint 2 bad wut do u guys think? im also thinking about a shift improver kit cuz i got n automatic. r they good n worth it? im defenitly getting a fast intake manifold. i want the 90mm im not sure which throttle body 2 go with i was thinkin fast but there are a lot of other ones ne help there would b good. fuel pump upgrades are another option down the line theres walbro in tank or airomotive in line which is better/easier? suspension is also something im lookin @ i like hotchkis but im up for anything better. if ne1 can help me out with my mods i would appreciate it thanx

Heads and cam. TT Performance has heads and cam sets from mild to wild, and you can get them installed by them.
$1300 for headers? haaaahahaaha.

QTP High Velocity LS1 Race Headers (No emmisions) go for about $750, good quality stuff! After you complete the exhaust system your next best thing would to go out and get the car tuned! You'll be pretty satisfied after that. I wouldnt really mess with the FAST 90/90. As for suspension you can't go wrong with a SLP package of Bilstien Shocks & Eibach Pro-Kit!

thats exactly what i thought when i first saw it.
yea i'd say go for a heads and cam package, delete cats or replace them with high flow cats, definately suspension, then theres weight reduction which always helps. get an aluminum driveshaft, take out the ac if you dont use it, the list goes on and on.....

you know jake, TTP isnt the only place that sells heads and cams
as for the heads/cam vs. headers, i'd say go for the headers first then get the heads and cam so that way there wont be as much of a bottle neck as there would be if you used the stock manifolds with the heads/cam package (see i have learned something here )

yea you def want to get all the bolt ons before you go heads and cam. And QTP's are the way to go no worries about rust and now they all coem with HVC's and fully polished. After you get all bolt on's then heads cam and a fast 90/90. And ofcourse a good tune

i think a good tune should be one of the first few things you do, like after you get the intake and exhaust completed. thats what im goin for, just need the money to do it now.

depends how fast your goin to do everything... i did my lt's and all bolt ons went to a dyno day and the af was right on. so i didnt tune it knowin i would be gettin heads and cam eventuly now after i install them this week i am goin to get a tune. but then agian ttp just started the $250 bolt on tune which is a very good deal.... i didnt feel like payin $525 to just tune for my exhaust back when i got them...

Contact foff667, I and many others will highly recommend using his tuning services hes in Trenton
Many members would be willing to help install headers for some pizza and beer or soda or something.... hell of a lto cheaper than paying a shop to install em

If you go with the QTP set-up, we highly recomend having an exhaust shop do the Y-pipe. Its an adjustable Y-pipe. Defenitly not something for a driveway install.

qtp y pipe is very easy to install well there ORY is..... i installed it on my own in less then an hour... .and tunein wise i would def. go to ttp or maybe slow hawk but he is up in CT.... but worth the drive if you cant get to TTP. And like 1984camaroz28 said i would get a lid(tsp, slp.... ect. make good ones) and i agree with sprayin the **** out of it

I'll also recommend contacting foff667 on this board. There are several members here and on LS1Tech that would recommend him.

Definitly consider the QTP headers...great quality and very good prices for SS. If you plan on doing the FAST intake with 90mm TB you have a few options as far as maf goes...you can either ditch it and run a SD tune or go with an 85mm TB & 85mm lid. The first option will be cheaper and make slightly more power but you'd need retunes more often.

Race Style is $750, Off-Road Y-Pipe is 350ish. Emissions is alittle more expensive, if you come down to the shop they may even cut you some slack on the price. Right now were back ordered on all headers, but you could always stop by and see the ones we have on the shelf for show. Our new High Velocity is the current rage anyway in the LSx crowd! They went down in price but the quality went way up! Trust me their a good peice to go with, and this is not just me pushing a product for buisness. If they had LT1 Headers in production I would buy them!
