damn lol that sounds pretty impressive. Yeah the Garand has always been a favorite of mine, but have not had the pleasure of shooting one. Ive had plenty of practice on the M1 Carbine, but those two are not much alike lol.

Nice we play with three or four people who are using A-5s now. If you still are looking for a Remote line after christmas let me know I have one lying around somewhere that I wont use.

i have my nj firearms purchasing card. i just dont have any money to buy anything of my own. when i can scrounge some money up, my first rifle will probably be a .22 or a .17 for plinking. i havent shot a .17 yet but have had plenty of fun with 22's. last i checked a brick of 22 rounds was 10 bucks. thats alot of shooting.

that is a different thing all together. i don't own any guns personally, but my bro is a different story.
he does high power rifle and militaary match shooting. something to the tune of a 300-500 meter course depending on what the particular match is. he has at least 8 different guns for these disciplines, all based on the gerrand(sp?) and i think most are chambered in .223.
he is also starting to get into action pistol a bit. that seems like a lot of fun. it is all about throwing lead and playing scenarios. i think he is up to 3 target pistols now.
my bro is the real deal of natural shooters. if he felt like it i am sure he could compete nationally with jsut a little practice/coaching. he views it as a fun little hobby though, so we will never find out.

wow 500 meters is 1,640 feet. thats crazy. i guess every hobbie digs into your pocket cause a precision gun with that capability has to be a few grand.

he wont say what the good stuff costs him. he has one gun that was prepped by the guy who is supposed to be the best in teh world for that class and one gun for some kind of open class that looks more like it shoudl be shooting laser beams than lead.

haha i read his post and quick glanced at them. i dont know what i am looking at anyway. i dont know anything about them. like i said my friends were real into it i could never afford it. this is going back probably 6-7 years, usually things change, technology gets better and things become obsolete. are they still top of the line guns? i remember someone telling me his gun shot 13 balls per second, is that possible?

Frank, autocockers are alright, they are decent guns but by far not the top of the line. yeah 13 balls a secons way more than possible, it has surpassed the 20s and some guns i have seen up in the 30s. I dont play that way cause it only takes one ball to get someone out the extra 29 you wasted adds up in price after a while. The prices have gone down, and things are really getting cheap to buy. I bought that Automag for $95 bucks. About 3 years ago that would have run you about $400 and then more for the modifications.
