pulling the LS1 today

OK, right now i took a little break to eat and rest. I worked on the car already like 2 1/2 hours so far. I have everything in the engine compartment seperated form the motor(wiring, linkage, hoses, A/C). I als have the rad drained and the swap bar dropped. Now i have to go bakc to work on it and remove the shifter from the base, then its under the car too pull the driveshaft and start unbolting the cats and crossmember... this should be fun. By tonight, i want the engine on a stand and flipped over so i can yank the oil pan and see the damage. Here are some pics so far.

i dropped it out the bottom, no way was i gonna attempt it otut he top, lol. I dropped it down once everything was unbolted, and then hoisted the car up higher to clear everything. Then i unbolted the trans and finally rolled the engine and suspension setup out.

Ok, the motor is out. Took me about 5 hours, doing it on my back in my garage with only hand tools. wasnt that bad. Next time i have to pull an LS1, now i'll be able to do it quicker. Tomorrow i gotta pick up an engine stand from my neighbors shop and take the motor off the k member and then i'll get to see the damage. pictures of that will be posted as well.
Heres some more pictures of it coming out.
