Update on John Fiocco Case
10 PM news, they found human remains in the landfill in Tullytown. Of course, though they must test if it's John, the news and police is making it come off like it is. Well, who else, I suppose.
And for those confused, the body found in the woodlands was fremale, and of course, totally separate from the John Fiocco case.

Yea my mom heard earlier today that they found something. Supposedly a news source saw them tenting off an area of the landfill, so they assumed they found a body, or parts of one. It sucks, but at least it will bring closure to the family....

Sad, I heard that today. It appears he got drunk and somehow managed to go down the trash shoot, probably as a goof. I remember at the Hotel Jay, at Jay Peak in VT., we went up & down the floors in the dumb waiter. Dru7nks college kids do stupid things.
Sad story, that boy.

There will be a press conference at Trenton State at 11am today to discuss "the findings". I guess we'll find out more of what they know then.

All I'm saying is he must have tried really hard to go down that trash chute. The openings are only 2'x2' so it takes a lot of forcing to get in there. I know this because I went there and we always used to talk about fitting people down there.
Also if that is how he left the premisis I doubt there was foulplay involved as the trash rooms are directly next to and across from dorm rooms and at 3am if there was ANY struggle someone would have heard it as noise carries down those halls very well.
Either way I hope the family gets some type of closure soon....it's definitely a trying ordeal.

He was only 5'6 and 160 pounds, small enough to fit down a trash chute. Those dumpsters also have automatic compactors in them, and when something goes in, they activate. Maybe some kids pushed him down the chute as a joke, and not knowing he'd get crushed, figured he would just wake up in the dumpster the next morning and wonder what the heck happened. The dumpster was probably full, and with Fiocco on top, it might have compacted him, making blood spurt outside of the bin itself, and then emptied the next day. And if he was that drunk and out-of-it, there would be no struggle noise. No foul play intended, maybe, but someone must be ****ting their pants now.

EWING, N.J. — Searchers at a Pennsylvania landfill found the body of a college student who disappeared more than a month ago, but authorities said Wednesday they don't suspect foul play.
John Fiocco Jr., a freshman at The College of New Jersey, was last seen early March 25 when he returned to his campus dormitory after a party.
Investigators later found his blood on the dormitory's trash bin, which led them to the landfill in nearby Tullytown, Pa. After more than three weeks of searching, they found the body there Tuesday. Fiocco was identified through dental records, state police and prosecutors said Wednesday.
"Our sincere condolences go out to his parents, John and Susan Fiocco, and the entire Fiocco family and to the administration and students of The College of New Jersey," said state police Superintendent Rick Fuentes.
Fuentes said there is no evidence that Fiocco was stabbed or shot.
He said the investigation is continuing, but Fiocco's death is not classified as a homicide. Investigators contacted 1,000 students and school workers, and interviewed more than 150 of Fiocco's friends and relatives, and don't suspect foul play, he said.
Fiocco's family declined to comment Wednesday. His uncle had said Tuesday after the body was found that the family was in mourning.
"Johnny was caring, sensitive, smart and witty," Joseph Fiocco said. He asked anyone with information about what had happened to his nephew to contact authorities.
The search for Fiocco started 36 hours after he was last seen, when his roommate reported him missing.
Investigators found blood and blood-soaked material in and around a trash bin behind the dorm. After a laboratory confirmed the blood was Fiocco's, investigators started sifting through a 1-acre, 20-foot deep area at the landfill where the dorm's trash is dumped.
Authorities have said Fiocco may have slid down a trash chute into the bin, although a camera used to scan the chute found no traces of blood.
The injuries that Fiocco's body had sustained were consistent with being processed by a trash disposal system, authorities said. They would not say whether the injuries had been sustained before or after Fiocco died.
Mercer County Prosecutor Joseph Bocchini Jr. said it is possible authorities will never learn exactly what happened.

There's tons of rumors going around about who killed him, notice how even though they say that they aren't treating it as a homicide there are other news reports saying that they may still bring charges up in regards to the case. That may just be for someone dumping his body though....

He was certainly short though, 160 pounds, you figure, small frame, lots of a muscle.

Either way, he could most likely have fit in the chute, but from the way they were described, it would have been pretty hard for him to climb into one himself.

I'm still bet it was just drunk ****ing around. Someone knows but they are not saying. Which surprises me. You think someone would have said something like "Hey have you seen John? Not since he slid down the chute last night".
Def. seems like the kind of thing drunks guys would do, but not a drunk guy. It'll come out, eventually.

They said there was no sign of blood or tissue in the garbage chute so I don't see how he actually went down the chute without leaving some trace of something. Do they know for sure he went down the chute or did his body end up in the dumpster some other way?

They say they don't know. There was no blood or anything to say that was in the chute, but there also isn't anything that proves that he wasn't....
