Where do all the cars go?

Where do all the cars go after they are not sold? like say a 99 on the lot never been titled, and its 2002. Do they just stay till they are sold? You Have to think that their are some Fbodys around that have never ever been titled before! right? The reason Im thinking about this Is because I was reading a magazine article and their was a super bird that had never been titled.

That 'bird was from a dealership down south, right? Has ~7k miles on it? I remember that being in one of the Mopar mags several months ago.

Anyway, most cars that aren't sold by the time the next model year comes out get discounted heavily and then move off the lot quickly.

Yeah but you have to think that their are some nice ass cars or rare or old cars that are brand new never been titled before around. I think I might call a local chevy dealer and see if they have a clue about it.

Yea, there still are a few around that haven't been titled.

Trust me, if you found a 4th gen that hasn't been titled yet, it's gonna be VERY expensive.

I think that dealership with the superbird turned down $700,000 cash for it. And there was an untitled GNX on ebay several months ago that was selling for $80kish.

Well, if you are talking about finding any car, then it may be a different story. Depends on the car, and how old it is. In general, you aren't going to find anything that hasn't been titled yet sitting on a dealer lot for over a year. They will find a way to get it sold....

All of the cars that we have been talking about in this thread were special vehicles, and they were kept for that reason.

Many of them are auctioned. Some are sold to overseas dealers. There is a decent market for new, older model American cars overseas.

What everyone else said, they are discounted heavily and if its still not sold it will be sent to auction. If you are trying to find like an untitled 98 F-body somewhere so you can lowbal the dealer, its not gonna happen.

The only experience I have with a situation like that is as of November 2005 there was a 2003 Marauder 300B (newer than Dec. 02 production) at a Mercury dealership somewhere in the midwest that was going for 25K. It was bought by a member of mercurymarauder.net and that has been the last leftover new never-titled Marauder mentioned on the boards.

Finding anything more than 2 years old on a dealer lot is very rare, so is finding something 2 years old itself, lol.

They ship them overseas and give them a way better deal than you would get buying it here.
