went under the knife again...
had another operation. this time, the battery in my spinal cord stimulator went dead, they called it 98-100% used, which called for a replacement. cool thing about the replacement is that it's an updated unit and it's rechargable, and comes with a hand-held controller that looks like a small PDA. still the same old antenna type situation with the controller, but this one has a remote antenna so i can see the PDA-thingy while making changes to the spinal cord stimulator.
operation was successful, recovery is something like 6 weeks, but as you can see, i was feeling stir crazy being in the house. most of the last week has been spent in bed, tooling around the house in my wheelchair, and finally getting the strength back to walk again. even that short a period of time not walking presents problems, as any of you that have spent time off your feet well know.
i should be up and around full time by the time the Nats get here, so expect to see me there.

Hopefully you can make it to the Nats to at least hang out. Personally, I hate taking even aspirin or advil when I get sore so I don't think I would be a happy camper if I had something like that done.

thanks for the well-wishes, everyone. no problems ambulating now, but since we got such a late start we won't be attending the Nats. YABP - yet another broken promise...
