HELP!
hey guys,
i currently go to school in boston and i miss my car like hell
my problem is that about a week before i left the flange connecting my cat and exhaust rusted out under the passenger seat and now it has the ability to wake the dead.
[not to mention the neighbors when it comes to getting home at 3 in the morning]
any ideas on how i should go about fixing this?
i think there are a few more issues with my car i'll post later but this seems to be the most prominent. or atleast the loudest.

Headers + Y-pipe + full 3" catback should do the trick (assuming that you have stock exhaust now)

thats going to be quite expensive as well...at the very least get a used cat(one in decent condition) and have it welded up by an exhuast shop. Then pick up an aftermarket catback and bolt that up...should be the cheapest/easiest route

If you need a cheap cat, go to ebay....usually you can get them for $50 shipped to your door. An exhaust shop will usually charge you $150ish for a direct fit model.

yea man, definately check out that guy at meineke. i messed up the exhaust on my isuzu off-roading and he threw on a new muffler, patched up a few holes, and reattached a flange (similar to yours) all for 500 bucks. not a bad price i would say. it was a little half-assed, but he knew thats what i wanted. it lasted the last 20k miles of that cars life anyways

I'm with Jake....just take it to a shop, they'll be able to patch that up relatively cheap.

no there were other parts of the exhaust that needed to be cut out and replaced. not to mention a couple holes that were patched... and a new flex pipe. it was alot of work
