Felt good to drive a 3rd gen again...

So yesterday, I dunno what came over me... but I got sick of seeing the vert just sitting there with a locked up caliper and a flat tire. So I decided to do something about it!

The ebrake cables are messed up, because it was origonally a drum car and I didnt get the right cable setup, so it caused the pass rear caliper to constantly drag. So much so that the back of the rotor was only about 1/8th" thick!

The caliper, surprisingly, was just fine. Slapped new pads on it along with another rotor, disconnected the cable temporarily, and all is good. Sadly, I cant say as much for my poor rim which is now covered in rust. Thats right, and aluminum crosslace rim is RUSTY. Sad, sad sight.

Once the battery was charged thanks to Tims handy dandy charger, and tire was patched from the 1 5/8" sheetrock screw that decided to embed itself in my tire, she fired up. Still runs eh so-so and lack of synchros in the t5 still sucks, but it sure as hell felt good to drive it again. Then I took Tims for a "test ride" to diagnose a few problems. So two thirdgens in one day after not driving one for about 3 months.

Uh-oh, is that motivation I smell? That LS1 sitting on the garage floor is looking awefully lonely!
