DAMN IT!!!!!
Sigh, there has to be some people who can relate to this....
So, I'm going racing this morning and my significant other is sleeping. I try and get showered, dressed and have breakfast nice and quiet so I don't wake her. I'm usually pretty damn good.
10 min ago... I'm walking into the bathroom and smashed my head on the metal towel rack hooks on the back of the bathroom door?!?!?!?!
It gave a ******** oud metal twang/ ringing sound.... then me saying "OUCH, WTF?!??!?!"
I shut the door... tried to be quiet but too damn late.... I woke her up. I think she looked at me like WTF happened?!?!!? Sigh.... so I am off to racing with a throbbing headache now.
Damn bathroom towel racks!!!!!
Sorry genie

maybe put the helmet on as soon as you get out of bed every morning, with that and a full time fire suit, you should be fine,

If I had actually been consious when it happened, I probably would have said those exact words. A similar thought came to me when I finally woke up (at 10:30) and remembered him telling me.
We are conteplating doing the unity candle cermony at our wedding (where we each have a candle and then together light the unity candle signifying two coming together as one)...and I made a suggestion he put on his fire jacket for that part...

you should see if they can custom tailor a tuxedo made out of Nomex just for him, lol.
edit: or just have him use an electric candle(the type with batteries and bulb) and have him just flip the switch at the right time

I still think my story of owning a bike with shocks was the best.
If you went to Toms River 2 years ago you probably heard it. The famous line
"Check this out!"

we shoudl start a list of all the objects jim and genie have lost fights to
i think genie's crowning achievement was getting her ass kicked by a door. yes, i was there when it happened.
i would say that losing a fight to a towel rack tops that. but you have to give the smaller, more nimble, towel rack the nod for getting the upper hand. i mean, jimmy comes in with a serious weight and reach advantage and the towle rack still manages to handle him.
so which is worse, lsoing to the power of a big mean door or getting beat up by a agile, but small towel rack. tough call.

When did I lost the fight to the door? I don't remember this.
There's probably a reason I don't remember this.

you really have to have Koll tell it next time you see him. a lot of the humor would be lost over the computer.
