Angry Cherry Hill Transmission is screwing me!!!

Go here for most of the story
http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.as...mode=1&smode=1

Here we are 2 weeks later & I still do not have my car back. $100 says they laugh at me when I go in there to pick it up (hopefully sometime this year) and tell them they should pay for my rental.

I got the same bs runaround again today. Oh yea, I'll have my guy stay late today to finish it. Bullcrap, my car sits outside in the same spot. I am calling tomorrow and telling him that the car must be completed today. I won't mention court or anything, but if it's not done I'm going to find out what I need to do to file in small claims. The shop is Cherry Hill Transmission. God help you if you ever decide to have them do work for you. Everyone I know will be told of this horror story.

I got the owner's name off the net. I just need to find some contact info for him.

There's a difference between a delay & giving me the run around everyday for 2 weeks straight.

Not worth the stress? Perhaps you'd like to pay the rental that I have had to pay for for the past 2 weeks then?

and if that was the case, I would hope the owner would have the integrity to call him as soon as they ran into a problem to let him know and keep him in the loop. yes things do happen, but thats no reason to lie to a customer.

if it says they inspected the problem area in the warranty agreement and it was found to be a problem shortly after, then you have a case. you really should notify them of any problem as soon as it arrives and since you waited this long, they have a case against you as well now. your only chance is now trying to work out a compromise with him or taking him to small claims court. and i think the whole "no other ride" excuse isn't too good for not calling him back. most people have no other rides besides their current cars but they make do when their cars are in the shop.

I waited this long? HA! I took the car back in there & the jerkoff that took it for a drive said he found nothing wrong.

Im confused as to how planetery gears would break unless there was insufficent lubrication going to them, chances are they were inspected and when the transmission was reassembled something was inhibiting ATF flow to the drum... im no trans expert but i personaly havent seen any broken planetery gears but one time in a ****** glide and that was behind my dads big block in a 3200 camaro running low 9's

Only trans guy i will EVER use is CP transmissions in little ferry NJ, like 2 blocks off rt46. They've done our crown vic, dodge ram, jeep grand cherokee, my iroc T5, and fixed my caddy STS. All were perfect and very good prices. We did use a local shop in my town, Closter Transmissions, for a 91 dodge caravan, and my GTA...both those had issues and had to go back for major repairs.

i dont know if i can just take that for what it is. you feel like there is something wrong and he drives the car and says he cant find anything. i think the idea is once you find something wrong you need to find the problem asap. i'm not trying to cast stones, i'm trying to help. example, my sister bought a new car and it was making a clunking noise from the rear. the shop couldnt find it from when they drove the car and when they put it on the lift. so i drove the car while he sat in the backseat and i pointed out the noise and he was able to pinpoint where it was coming from and find the loose part. persistence pays off my friend.

Seriously, if you can swing the tow cost take it to Eric at Dynotech. From what I gather he is one of the top shops in the nation for 4T65-HD transaxles. On par with ZZP out in Michigan. He did the trans in my '97 GTP and it is fantastic.

I went & took my car back on Monday. Of course, she still does not shift right. They are saying it's because of the Intense PCM I have in there. Funny, that was in there before the 1st time you had it & it hshifted fine then.

They also broke the visor on the driver door. He is supposedly ordering a replacement for me. Have not heard from him on that & SUmmit takes 2 days to ship to NJ.

Today the tranny got worse. Now it doesn't wanna go into gear when I put it into D every time. I have to manually shift sometimes & it still doesn't wanna catch then.

I put the stock PCM in today & no change.

Come Monday I will be disputing all charges from this shop.

Anyone want to buy a '99 GTP w/tranny problems? I'm done w/GM for a long while now.
