Explosions in NJ???

Around 12-1230 my house has been rocked with like shockwaves that are a real low boom rumble, almost like thunder but quick and short. i know they are doing some construction not too far off, so thought maybe it was some equipment? but then i was talkin to my buddies online and they all hear/felt it, and they are a good 5 miles away from here, in both directions, and they say someone in Bricktown they know was complainin about the same thing... Brick's a good half hour from here?!?! then i found this: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/05/08/for...lot/index.html

12pm this afternoon till around 1pm, everyone i know in LB heard and felt it, the first few that went off it sounded like a tree landed on the roof of my house. the intensity was near the same as thunder right over the house. the only construction around here are these houses theyve been building for about a year now, but all they got going are nail guns. i was thinking boulders slamming into dump truck beds, but theyd have to be right around the corner to be felt like that, and there was a definate "crack" component that follows with a high explosive sound rather... and to have someone on the other side of the city hear/feel it the same way, thats a good 25 square miles, and then to hear someone in brick can hear it? thats incredible... definatly not a dumptruck.

as for the ft dix link, obviously if they arrested them it isnt them, but for all we know there were more attackers? when you hear the **** that was happening and then see on national news that fr dix was plotted to be attacked the day before, you begin to suspect things.

No I mean they could possibly be blowing something up and hauling it out in the dumptrucks. Call up your local police and tell them that your frightened someone is toying with homemade explosives. They'll give you the lowdown so you dont worry. And if they dont know what it is you did the right thing then.

I get those alot. I live right next to Hercules, which is an old gunpowder/explosives factory that has landmines laid all across a large acreage from many many years ago...

What are the explosion you ask?... they stock deer back there to get rid of the landmines, so when I hear a boom, I say "Another one bites the dustttt--aaahh"

I was outside washing my car around that time, and also heard the same loud banging. There must have been 3 or 4 of them. The first one was loud, but I thought it was just the dump trucks that are around the cirlce, doing whatever they are doing over there.
Odd, you heard it by you.

Found out! It is part of rehersal for the 2007 McGuire AFB Open House & Airshow comming this weekend. It was a mix of le ordinance and formation flying, including mach 1+ flying... that explains everything i guess... never relized just how far the concussion from even light ordinance travelled!

my buddys over at the range now said they have the thunderbirds out doing manuevers right over head! anyone in the area i'd head down there, looks like this weekends going to be a blast.
