Hey computer dorks...
I'm thinking of going with Verizon's FiOS.
Will I really notice a huge difference between their 5mb/s service compared to the 15?
I do play some online games but I don't do a ton of downloading. I'm on Comcast now.
Their $99 special seems to kick ass, their TV(yay for them getting SportsNet so I can watch my Philly teams), the 5mb internet and phone for one flat rate.

Depends on how many people are on the fios server. supposly the more people on the fios server the better the quality which makes no sense since you would think less people on the local area server the better signal i will recieve.

I know all of that, just asking a general question if there's a huge difference between the 5 and 15 service

oh. ummmmm well try the 5 m/bit, if its too slow you can always upgrade , right? 5 mbit should be plenty for a home pc

well when it comes to gaming the 15 will help you stand a better chance at recieving host of the game. and when your host its almost as if your more powerfull than the other players in a shooter game cause the instant you fire is when it hits the other person the bullets dont lag
