My new mileage record for my car.

about two years ago I headed out to conneticut and discovered that my car went 176.9 miles and had 3/4 of a tank left, and I was quite suprised by that. then a few months back i made a new record of 198.7 miles. But yesterday I hit a new milestone, a personal best for me... 218.1 miles with 3/4 left!!!! I cant believe that an 11 year old car can get almost as good of mileage as new cars today. has anybody hit higher wiht their F-body?

uhhhh gas gauges arent always accurate...i really doubt you get 800 miles/tank

figure it out the right way....i bet youll see around 20 mpg mixed driving, 24-25ish highway

Seems the more ethonal they put in the gas they less milage i get. I used to average 230-240 a tank in my WS6. Now i'm lucky to get past 215 a tank.

I know the once hater of V6's and he's blessing half the cylinders he once praised. oh i know those gauges arent accurate. its a fact with my car i only go another 100 miles to the half way mark, adn then anoth 100-150 till empty, still not bad for 16.6 gallon tank. Well I tore half my motor up to see what was wrong with it, adn i didnt find a thing but it started fine after i put everything together, another unexpalineable fix. Id still do the LS1 swap, but im so tight on money now with insurance and Cali and conneticut comign up, and im trying to get into school, but who knows lol.

I got 26-28 mpg on the highway with my old 93 Indy Pace Car with the Powerdyne supercharger and that car had the A with 3.23 gears. I just made a trip down to the beach and back with the 2000 and I was at 211 miles with around 1/4 tank left. Filled it up and it was almost 23 mpg. But I got stuck in some heavy traffic getting down there and getting back to 539. I would think a V6 F-body should get closer to 30 mpg and a 6 speed Z28 can get 26-30 mpg.
