Cheapest place for oxygen sensors?
Sigh..... been getting a best of 23 mpg in the T/A and found out a big factor earlier..... 2 of the 4 O2 sensors have pretty much crapped out.... they sit around 0.750 to 0.800 millivolts ALL the time.
So..... anyone know where I can buy replacement O2 sensors that won't cost a kidney?
This must explain why there is soooo much carbon build up in the engine.

I don't remember how much they cost but I got mine through a Chevy dealership using an account and I hear the GM ones are the best.

go with delco's as I've heard many people run into issues with the bosch one's. Not saying they won't work, but I've heard no problems with delco's and issues with Bosch sometimes. I actually replaced mine not too long ago.
I call either of these guys from this link for GM parts.
http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#Dal_and_Jason
GM dealers tried to gouge me on price and new AC delcos were cheaper than in-store boschs when ordering from either of them.

bosch ones are usually hit or miss per cz28 guys
they worked just fine for me
delco's are around 40-50 a pop whereas the bosch's are under 20 iirc

my delco's were about $50 each. Pepboys and other typically auto stores wanted close to $60 for the pair. Pre-cat's that is which I am assuming you are refering to.

Only use AC/Delco sensors. Anything else and you are asking for trouble. For the best prices on them, call Dal Slabaugh at Van Devere Oldsmobile in Ohio. Best prices and fast shipping, I always use him, as do many members of CZ28.com

the post o2 sensors shouldnt change much so i would find out what the reading should be on all of them.. Im pretty sure the pre cat 02 sensors should go up and down from .200 mv to .800 mv. The post cat o2 sensors should stay between .600 and .700 mv. This is after the car is warmed up and in closed loop

james, is it the sensor(s) before the cat or after? pre-cat will make a difference in the way it runs, post-cat just checks cat efficiency and serves no purpose in air/fuel trim

If you're getting 23 mpg on the highway with an LT1 with an A4 then that's about what I would expect. My 93 with the supercharger got 24-28 but my 96 SS got 23 mpg and my 00 SS is getting around the same on the highway. I noticed my bank 1 post cat O2 sensor wasn't reading anything for the first minute today. Then it would go up to 750-850 and stay in that range pretty constantly. The bank 2 post cat sensor was generally up in the 750-850 range but would drop back down as low as 150 when coasting at times. My exhaust doesn't smell right so I think I have on O2 issue as well.
