Oh no....
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=122327
But...... maybe.... just maybe.... it would be good....."As to the cars, expectations are that some familiar machinery — like a resurrected version of the blown 1970 Dodge Charger from the original film — will mix it up with such contemporary machinery as the new Dodge Challenger and classic South American muscle like the Chevrolet Opala. Also don't be surprised if Vin Diesel's character finds his way behind the wheel of a classic 1987 Buick GNX."

(spoiler time) for anyone who didnt see the third one, they had like a 66-68 mustang fastback in it, and they took a Nissan I6 turbo'd and installed it in the car, which was ridiculously stupid. they need to stop bashing american muscle and show the truth, show the real imports of the world, not the 6 figure ones racing, show those ones all primered out with the stupid wing and big muffler, and show stock stangs and Camaro SS and T/A's whooping their ***. thats true street racing.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Sources close to the production of the three films in The Fast & The Furious series have told Inside Line that a fourth installment is on its way. The best guess is that it will show up in theaters worldwide during the summer of 2008.

there is still time, we could petition it, or even better. As their filming it, we blow by them with our cars, so they cant get good shots, theyd eventually have to realize that F-Bodies are the ****, and use them in the film, and theyd have to show the truth, like 10 second drag races dont last longer then 10 seconds ( my point in case, in the first one, the first race took about 2 minutes, and the last race took about a minute and a half) and that a 900hp charger wont tie with a supra with about 2/3 that horsepower, im sure that charger if it really did have 900 ( they had a fake blower on it adn only had about 550hp) i think it would run better then a 10 second time, dont you think? and the best truth of all, is that suki needs to be my next girlfriend lol.

Yes but people get so influenced by movies. y do you think everyone with a set of import wheels between the age of 18-25 do somethign to their car? did you see that everywhere before the movie came out, not really, thats more a west coast thing, and so after seeing the movie, the aftermarket business exploded with import stuff cause everyone buys crap to try and make their car standout. peopel are easily influenced by the media, no matter how stupid it is, understand that. If you go to streetfire.net, look at how many people try to drift now after seeing that tokyo drift movie, or better yet, look up the kid wiht the miata, that went to an arcade and played Initial D ( a japanese animation about racing and drifting) left, and then drove aroudn a mountain trying to drift, and ended up in the guardrail.
And noodles I will agree to a degree that they're awsome, they're car movies, I like that, but when you wreck the american cars, tahts when they go sour, and I love tokyo drift because there's asian chicks everywhere in that movie lol, and the soundtrack aint bad either.

Or video games for that matter. LIFE ISN'T LIKE GRAN TURISMO.
I have had countless discussions with people over BS like why putting in a lightened flywheel and aluminum driveshaft won't net you 20hp. Stuff that you can do in video games isn't the same in real life.
What really burned me was that in the first one you couldn't do a "displacement increase" on the 350 GM motors. Come on. It's not like a 383 stroker is THAT uncommon, now is it??

the ony car I can recal that could get a displacement in Gran Turismo 2 was the mini coopers. Im not influenced by the games simulation, I love it for the graffics and the classics of cars that are on it, that I would never get to drive, im not at all affected by GT sayign it has made me a better driver, theres no G forces, no damage, so you cant take i personally saying it is the truth, infact in some cases of the game, the actual output of a car on the game is not there when stock, its whe the car is fully loaded out is when it reaches its actual life times. Take for example, the GT40, in GT3 it could only hit 170 stock, it wasent until you maxed it out and changed the gears that it hit its actual recorded speed of 217mph. i hate when that happens
