best way to ship a trans?

hey guys, I'm shipping my trans back to TCI, has anyone ever shipped one. Who should I use and how does it need to be packaged, do I just strap it to a pallet? Thanks.

if its under 150 lbs you can ship it regular fedex ground, just make sure its drained and wrapped up. you can go the pallet route and ship via freight company, but you should shop around and see who would be cheaper.

t56rebuilds recommends packing the trans in a large rubbermaid container and shipping it fedex or ups, and since the dimensions of your 4l60 are similar that should work well for you. and x2 on draining everything out of it

Yeah, this will work. I had a T56 shipped from OKC to VA this way and it came just fine.
