who keeps taking my status bar?

jesus, i am getting tired of this. i've tried turning it on and shutting down all of the windows, being careful to make sure that the last one i close has a status bar, and then open up a new browser session and it's there. a little while later, i'll click on a link, <ctrl-n> a new window or click on a link in a webpage. lo and behold, my status bar is gone again. it's on the older windows i have open, but on the new one it's gone. and if i forget, and close all of the windows with one without a status bar being the last one, natch it's not there when i re-open the browser. yes, i am using internet exploder, but i only go to forums like this one and check email. i have avg, spybot and adaware and they run on a schedule every morning between 1 and 5.

talk about frustrating.

i ran it on my old machine, but this thing's only got a 4GB hard drive... and i've got less than 200MB of space available...

Firefox takes minimal space. That's no excuse.
