carbeurated 4th gen?
i had an idea a few weeks back and ive been researching it some......
383 -427 carbeurated ... no more egr... no more air... no more computer.... the simplicity of it all. ive been lookign at motor prices and tranny and its not cheap but the freedom id have to do as i please.

With that car you would be better off sticking with the lt1 or swaping in a ls1.

Trying to fit a carbed sbc into a 4th gen isn't easy thanks to how far back the engine sits under the cowl. Look at the top center of your LT1, and imagine a carb & air cleaner there.....

good point lol.... this is a year or so down the road maybe i can find a nice worked ls1 by then

its official im going to go with an ls1 my cousin has a spot down in maryland and hes going to get the motor fro me on tuesday
pry gonna work it to the balls... free ls1 is always good

keep in mind you'll need the LS1 k-member an pcm too... dont remember off the top of my head if the bellhousings line up

Yup, different K-member, springs, wiring harness, and transmission.
