My 7 year old has been sick since Saturday. It ruined his birthday party. He hasn't gone to school this week, and I will stay home with him again tomorrow. 102.8* last time we checked. Poor little bugger.

Sore throat and a pounding headache for the last few days. So far it hasn't gotten any worse. That reminds me, time to take more pills

I'm sick.. had laryngitis all last week, got my voice back but woke up with a sore throat saturday early morning. decided to go to the parentals house and get some of moms homemade chicken soup slept all day saturday and sunday, finally went to the dr's yesterday and know what he told me?

"Well, looks like you're sick young lady"

His power of observation completely astounds me.. my tonsils are infected, got some antibiotics, hurts like hell, haven't injested anything but hot liquids all day, and even though i have my voice back, it hurts like hell to talk. not my idea of a good time.

I have practically no voice, and an occasional cough with mucus that I can hear rattling in my chest. However, I can breathe fine, my nose is not running at all, and I have no other symptoms (no fever, aches, etc). WTH is up that?

thats why I hate going to the doctor.

"mmhmm ... your sick. Here's some antibiotics that will take 5 days before you see any effects. Drink OJ and stop back next week. BTW, this visit is $15.00, then another $30.00sih for the meds"

umm ... buck is slang for a male deer. Hence, your mis-spelling of puck gave passage to his reply.

$15 and $30??! ha!! I wish! Costs me at least $65 every time i step into a dr's office, and the generic meds cost $50.. he actually told me to gargle with salt water and take advil every 4 hours for the pain, i know my threshold for sick, and i know this is over saltwater and advil which is why i insisted on the meds. i was told not to fill it fora nother few days if i wasn't better, but i wasn't gonna take the chance. I can deal with a lot of things, a throat full of razorblades isn't one of them.
