What about the upcoming Pontiac G8
I haven't seen anyone mentioning the new upcoming Pontiac G8. Unless I missed it which I probably did. I would say that would fit into the ideal family man who loves sportcars and still have the space of a family car right? It's at over 360 horses and over 380 torque and a rear wheel drive platform. Whats your take on it?

I really like it and plan to make it my new DD when it comes out. I am also looking forward to seeing what simple bolt-ons and a premium fuel tune will do.

I'm still leaning towards the G8 as my next DD, but after seeing the Malibu I am having second thoughts.

You have a 4 door that can blow 13 second 1/4 mile times and looks good doing it. And have the same kind of good fuel economy as my Formula does. I am in need of a 4 dr very soon and looks like the G8 will be the one. So I will test drive it and trade in my cobalt SS if its thats good.

FWD vs RWD is a major decision factor. I'm no fan of FWD V8 cars - seems like a waste. Plus according to http://www.chevrolet.com/malibu/ there is no V8 option in the Malibu. Is that coming later?
