It's still pre-production Jake....I'm sure it will retain the basic look it has now with far better finish and materials in the production version.

I like the overall look of the interior. I just don't like the look of speedo/tach area and the steering wheel.

I agree. I love the overall exterion but I hope they do make it a nice interior. Im not sure I like the guages in front of the shifter, I know thats what was in the first gen. They really need to make the interior good and none of that cheap , cheesy fealing you got in some of the previoue f bodys.

That interior is pretty bad. And I want to shift the car, not jerk it off. GM needs to do something about its stupid looking auto shifters. Other companies can do it right, why not them?

I hope your right, cause I don't like the interior either. I also think it looks better as a vert than a hardtop.

The interior is not production spec. They are just basic molds to give the jist of what teh interior will look like. Zero texture added, just basic abs plastic pannels for appearence on these powertrain mules.
Now if you just dont like how its laid out, then thats diffrent. So far, its a toss up with the IP. So far, the overall look of the interior is so much better then anything GM has to offer this side of the CTS.

i dont really care about details and interior, its still a new camaro, im gonna rock it till the wheels fall off.
I now have to find a dealership thatll work with me on putting my name on a list and setting up the sale without being face to face, and then delivering the car to my garage at home. Then when i get home from the sandbox ill have a nice suprise.

The only part of the interior I don't like is the shifter and the radio setup. WildBill hit the nail on the head in describing the shifter, and the radio setup doesn't blend with the rest of the dash at all. I don't expect a cookie-cutter GM radio, but something a bit more traditional (and easier to replace with an aftermarket unit) would be much better.
I see that and I think about the mid-late 90's fords with the big oval radio that required a very ugly install kit when switching to an aftermarket head unit.

GM has step upped to the plate with the interiors in some of there cars and trucks. I was at the dealer the other day looking at the new avalanche and I have to say there is a big difference between my 2004 and the current 2008. I hope they do the same for the new camaro.

Its called an intergrated radio, and its going to do away with the easy one two three install of DIN style radios. GM, as well as most of the Big 3, have been way behind on the times of intergrated radio/hvac design, and it seems that Camaro will be the first GM car this side of Caddy to use this design.
Example of intergrated vs non-intergrated.
Intergrated
Non Intergrated
Intergrated
non-intergrated

I dont see it there Jake. My brother has a late 90's GA, dont see it at all.
Remember, fit and finish as well as a lot of these interior parts will not see production.

All cars look like **** in white. White should be removed from any and all paint menus. Unless its got a stripe, or some sort of other accent (pearl, metalic flake, etc) a white car should not be orderd unless its a cop car.
Nothing makes my butt tighten then a white car facing the road Im driving on late at night.

I know they want to move to more integrated setups, but I think they could do more to make them look integrated, and still make it individually replaceable.
Not only does it make it very difficult to upgrade to an aftermarket radio, but it will also be quite expensive to replace if one small part breaks.

At least 98% of the car buying public could care less.
