I don't know what's going on with my PS3, but all of the sudden it won't read any discs. I can insert and eject them. But when I put a game or DVD in, nothing is happening. I just tried to call the support line but couldn't get a hold of an operator. Any ideas what the hell is going on?

Continue to try and get support. where did you buy it? maybe someone there can assist you, also look up any FAQ's for problems with the PS3's

I actually got it as a Xmas gift. It was ordered from Toys R Us.

360 ftw. but i still want a ps3. are they as defective as the 360's were ?

Well, I've only had mine for 4 months...so they very well could be.

Just got off the phone with Sony. They said my drive is probably busted. They're going to send me a box to send my PS3 back to them and they will send me a new or refurbished one at no charge.
