A jeopardy question

What kind of vehicle was the Grease Lighting car used in the 1st Grease movie. The white conv. Just saw the movie again last night for the 1000th time and yet I always seen to enjoy it. Anyone else feel me on this lol. Never figured out the car though.

Looks like a '48 Ford convertible, but with a different grill and bumper. Its the same car as Biff Tannon's car from Back To The Future
