I'm pretty sure by law in NJ they have to be closed by 10, but their are few exceptions like bars (expensive) and some random places that don't sell liquor.

Around here they stop selling liquor at 10 but can buy beer and other stuff till 12 and some cases 3

Law says stores by 10, but there are some that close even earlier. I know the Shop Rite Liqueur near me closes at 9.

if its a liquor store it must be closed at 10. if its a bar with a liquor store in it they can stay open but only serve beer till midnight. theres a local bar/store that will serve liquor till 2am
