My store got robbed the night i was supervisor
Thursday night i was the supervisor at the cvs ( its part of management so im just under an assisant manager) here in NC. in the front store was a female 19 year old cashier.
three guys where involved total of $100 stolen. no employess harmed.
Story: First guy walks into the store, asks for 5 singles for a $5 bill. he finds out that the cashier has to call me to the front to open the register. he gets his change and leaves. 30 secs later the two other guys walk in both stairing down the cashier then they split. One guy heads for a $2 axe deordarant. The other guy walks around the store spying where i am located in the rear of the store. They make their way to the register, guy hands cashier his item, his buddy is standing behind him looking at the back of the store for where i am. He hands the cashier a $100 bill for a $2 item. the way the registers are set up is $20,$50,$100 bills are placed in a box that needs a key and the smaller bills in the register so as the girl goes to place the $100 bill in the box the guy leans all the way over the counter and wispers give me the $100 bill and give me my god darn (****) change and call your boy up here.
So i just take it like any normal call and make my way to the front of the store, find out i need to get 4 $20 bills out so she can complete her change. So i give here the $20's and walk away. While i am doing that the other guy walks out of the camera view and the main guy gives the girl cashier a look to not say a word to me. Well the night goes on. The next day my manager has a talk with me that there was $100 missing and the girl cashier had two guys at her register and etc etc. We watch the video for nearly 30 mins trying to figure out what happened. the girl cashier is calm as can be so we figured she was just stupid and gave the money back thinking he was gonna give her a smaller bill or that she was threatened. tonight i go into work and find out the story we were robbed. Total of 3 guys, only $100 stolen and both employes still here. the girl was to scarred to tell me or the manager until two days later when my manager talked to her.
I found out from the assisant manger that other local stores have been robbed. some employes have been beaten when they walk out their store and some have guys with shotguns walk up and rob them.
Stupid economoy. And before i came to work i was out enjoying the day driving with the t-tops off and taking pictures that i posted in multimedia.

Since he is talking about 3 guys that are risking jail time for the equivalent of 3 cases of bud cans each, my bet would be because they couldn't read the long P word on the sign.

in the amount of time that took I nearly could have earned that money at my job... except I didn't have a 1 in 10 shot of going to jail.

if he's working the night shift and there's practically no one in the store I'm willing to bet the pharmacy was closed for the night. Separate key, separate alarm.

Ah, the old getting change routine. Just tricking the cashier kinda. Happened when I used to manage in retail to one of my cashiers. Only was like 40 bucks.
Be happy it wasn't at gunpoint. I've had that happen...

I'm gonna say that she was in on it too. Why else would she not even bring it up until 2 days later when she was confronted.

Unbelievable, to risk jail time for $100. Then again I know people who have gotten killed for pocket change. Very sad indeed.
