anybody know a company that can make steel braided brake lines?

Im looking across the net, and all they have is complete sets for my car, which I dont mind until I have to pay 150 bucks for it. I just want the rear for my car since its just an LT1 setup in the rear, and im converting to Corvette brakes in the front, which I can get those for just the front. So anyone know of a company or someone that can build them?

im sure you can find someone to build them, but they will most likely cost more than the entire set for 150bux that you are looking at.

maybe ebay and see if somebody is selling a set used, ot a partial new set?

kore 3 does something like what you want i think.....

Quote:
Q: Does KORE3 offer original equipment style rubber brake hoses?

A: No, KORE3 does not sell OE style rubber brakes hoses. KORE3 FlexKORE™ DOT braided Kevlar®/stainless hoses out-perform and out-last the OE style rubber hoses.

Q: Are your FlexKORE™ brake hoses DOT (US) and TUV (Europe) compliant?

A: All FlexKORE™ brake hoses are DOT compliant (FMVSS-106). They have not yet been tested for TUV compliance and are thus recommended for off-highway use only in any city, county, state/province, or country that requires TUV compliance at this time.

Q: Why don't FlexKORE™ hoses have additional support at the fittings, such urethane sleeve, similar to many other DOT hoses?

A: FlexKORE™ hose assemblies don't require the use of additional external support at the fittings because the fittings and hose have been designed and manufactured as an assembly to comply with DOT test requirements without these aids. Typically, conventional two layer Teflon® braided stainless steel brake hose construction fails the "whip" portion of the DOT test criteria due to fraying of the wire braid at the fittings which can then lead to fitting pull-off, loss of pressure, etc.

There's a place in Piscataway called the Hose Shop. They make pretty much can make up any kind of hose. The shop I work for part time use's them all the time for hose's for trucks. Im sure if they can get the right fitting they can make the hose.
