How screwed am i?
Got pissed off at the g/f... Took off..... Passed a cop actually doing maybe 5 over... But with the no license plate in the front and smoked lights all around he turned around quick.... So of course I speed up... mind you I was in a what used to be 35mph zone that just changed to 30 a few days before... Yeah As I come around the corner a cop is sitting. My radar wasn't on and I looked down I'm doing 50. Yeahhhhh GREEEAAAAT.... Didn't even give me a break. Ticket stands at 50 in a 30. Courts in a week... Was wondering what anyone else has gotten. And how bad the charges were....
I got a buddy in this town who's a cop who said he would take care of it, but I haven't heard from him.................

Is the speeding ticket the only charge?
IF it is just a speeding ticket you should be able to go in and talk to them. No promise that they will knock it down, but 99 times out of 100 they do. Just be honest with them and say that you know you were wrong and that you can't really afford the points because of being young/college student/not having uber job yet.......you get the idea
A lot of if you get a break or not will have to do with your driving record. If you regularly run over old lady's or run into church buses they aren't gonna waste their time showing you any mercy.

Once they write the ticket he cant really take care of it. I got a ticket for doing 85 in a 55 on the parkway. I just paid it, but i didnt realize it was 4 pts. I thought it was 2. The ticket itself was BS cause my 2.8 camaro wouldnt go past 75 without shaking its brains out. Just plead not guilty and see what theyll give you. Your gonna get at least 2 or 4 pts though

Meh i'm fine. My buddy is getting me out of it... I got the ticket a week ago.. And he just contacted me saying. He hooked me up. So all I have to do is show up to court he said and I will get a break....
I know once the ticket is written there isn't much u can do.... But in the world of politics and ****... there are always loop holes.... Thank god he took care of this.

i had an 86 in a 55 on the parkway once. its a 5 point ticket. went in, prosecutor bumped it down to 84 in a 55 (24 over), 4 point ticket. kind of pissed off i asked the judge if i could get anything less, i didnt give him a sob story or anything just asked if there was anything he can do...he bumped it down to a 2 point ticket.
all depends on the prosecutor how much he wants to knock it down, there was a kid doing 96 in a 55 that same day..DROPPED the charge..idk why the kid never told me..im guessing he knew someone.
tell the prosecutor that u are used to traveling a 35 mile per hour road, and u also werent aware it was changed to 30 mph...that will help your case.
im pretty sure 1-14 over is a 2 point ticket. 15-29 is a 4 point, 30+ is 5 points.

EHH no worries now... I'm just happy as hell... he said plead not guilty. show up on the date. And I'll be hooked up... SO thank god for that......
But if he couldn't do anything.. I planned on just using the im used to the 35mph speed... And tell them my speedometer is off... And I was going to have my uncle who works at a garage right up a bill saying the speedometer was re calibrated.

Is that directed towards me? And no... My buddy who's a cop.... Cops have there way around things.... i know this guy real good... As well as he is doing custom airbrushing on my car in a few weeks. So I told him take care of this or I can't afford for him to do the airbrushing... LMAO.....
But yeah he is a real respectable cop here.. He has been here for awhile.. So he knows everyone real well as well as the cop who issued my ticket... So... if he talked to that cop... The issuing officer can easily make up a reason why the gun was inaccurate or what not......
Reminds me of a story my uncle once told me..... A guy in a camaro used to rev his motor in front of his apartment. So one night when he was drunk. He took his camaro right in front of the guys apartment a pealed tires half way threw it. Needless to say a cop was right across the street. Gave him 5 tickets i forget what they were but serious ****. Like wreckless careless noise etc.. He said he talked to his buddy at that time. And showed up for court. Walked out with a bald tire ticket. LMAO
