So I start work for the DOD on Monday been on and off base all week. Saw quite a few camaros, vettes, and Trans Ams... who is here from the base!?

i used to work on range 1 out in the woods as a contractor. i been out to ft dix lately a lot as well on texas ave.

I start monday... will be in my silverado (for now) saw a nice blue vette a week ago.... thinking rob? but I'll be going to the ranges alot for work.

Yea theres alot of cars on this base....alot of vettes,gto's,stangs.Few Fbodies.

possibly a vette (girlfriend is leaning towards this), a brazen orange GTO, or an evo viii since its gonna be a daily driver.

yeah i picked up some tires from monmouthctyantz a few months ago back and thats all i saw, vettes, stangs, so many sports cars

All good choices...I contemplated an Evo until I saw there resale value...I could have got a Terminator Cobra for what they wanted for some used 8's.

Really? The one im looking at with upgraded intercooler, intake, piping, and BOV is only 17K

Yea man when I was looking it was hard to fnd one under 25k w/ decent miles...Well this was probably a year or so ago...btw theres a ton of evos on this base as well lol...I swear I see a new one everyday.

most likely see another soon lol I really need the back seat to be accessible for passengers and a trunk for all my gear for rock climbing

There is a blue 89 Iroc for sale on the Mcquire Af base sale lot. Looks in really nice shape and has been there for the past 6 months. Guy is asking 9000 for it. I think its to much hence why its still there..

I'd say thats wayyyy too much unless it has 9k miles on it with all gaskets replaced

yea that thing has been there awhile...there use to be a blue LS1 Z and a teal LT1 formy next to it...Theres a nice 2001 Cobra on the lot now.

yeah I've been looking at set ups at turbo trix up in edison, nj and I already have 10Gs spent in my head lol

I use to spend alot of time on the evo boards and turbo trix tunes are supposedly really conservative...theres some guy I think in howell who is pretty much the man as far as tuning goes.

well they have a 9 and 8 second evo... im sure their tunes are conservative for DDs

yea well aware of their cars..have seen them run at Etown...If you could swing a 9 id do that...There almost a second faster then the 8's.

on a side note, anyone know a rough idea of how many active enlisted are stationed there? and if those units are deployable
