What to do?
ok im shure a lot of you have seen the thread about were my dad crashed my car.
well its been a week so now i need to find what to do with it and were i should be headed in the car world.
the car has almost a fresh (less then yearr old) built 383 stroker LT1 with full bolt ons. And a fully built TH350 w. full manual valve body to go along with it. but the body of the car is done. engine runs fine and trans shifts good.
so i was thinking of things i can do... so far ive though of..
1.swap my drivetrain into another camaro/firebird
2.swap into a C4 vette
3.swap into S10
4.swap into fox body mustang
5.swap into import(240,rx7,gen II supra)
or...
6. sell it/part out and start over new..

number 1 would prob be the easiest... i had an S10 with a sbc in it, lotsa fun too, the vette one could get expensive, and the import and mustang ideas are just

I would look into a 240. Probalby the cheapest and as far as weight goes you cant beat it.

... How much money are you willing spend. Dropping it into a 6 cylinder willl prolly be the cheapest and you would have your z28 for the misc. parts you would need to for the swap.

1 would be most logical
2 is ehhhh
3-4 would be alright
5 my buddy and i were talkin about before, deff some good weight savings but alot of custom work and headaches!
6 is really up to you. market is tough lately though and i doubt you will get half of what you put into it.

You are incorrect in the custom work and headaches. They sell complete kits for everything to drop these motors into 240s and rx7s. These imports should have came with v8s from the factory. TS, if you want more info on this lmk. I can point you to where you need to get started.

http://www.hinsonsupercars.com/
And there are many many more that provide motor mounts, driveshafts, radiators, fuel setup, etc. No customization needed
http://www.hinsonsupercars.com/p-108...n-package.aspx
Im sure it wouldnt take much to get the LT1 to fit with this kit.

Indeed, buy Justin's 3rd-gen! Or a G-body with that drivetrain would be cool, like a mid-'80s Cutlass or Grand Prix since they're even cheaper to find than Montes.

Yeah, really. People would look at it with disgust. That'd be like swapping a TPI into an LS1 car.
