I went last year and it was alright. Its cool because it's big but I thought it would be a whole lot "scarier". No bueno.

I kinda agree with String - I was there last year as well, and from all the hype that place gets I was expecting much more. It is certainly fun, but nothing that kept me from sleeping like a baby that night.

I have heard from a few people that the daytime tour is creepier than the haunted house tours.

I agree with Justin.....Eastern State isn't anything terrifying. It's fun but suffers from one major fault....too many people. You can see the people ahead of your being scared so you know what's coming.

If you want a fun time check out Norz Hills Farm in Hillsborough. They send you in as a small group of like 5 or 6 and there's a couple minutes between groups. It's set up in a corn maze and trust me when I tell you it gets dark and scary silent out there. Went last year with my fiance and she refuses to go again this year because she was so freaked out hahah.

Has anyone been to Eastern State Pen. multiple years in a row to know how much the setup is changed? Same group I went with last year is wanting to go again, trying to decide whether to just go, or try to talk them into going somewhere else.

Exactly! That's the problem I had as well. Very predictable.

eastern state penn is garbage for the masses compared to the Headless Horseman in Kingston, NY (exit 18 on the thruway). I go there every year and its worth every penny and the 80 mile drive...a full 20-25 min hayride with great story/effects..3 full haunted houses all with different themes...a huge corn maze with scares everywhere and also multiple sideshows/illusionist shows..

if you consider yourself a true halloween connoisseur like myself, this is attraction to go to.

site is http://www.headlesshorseman.com

Been there the past 2 years and it was the same and a friend of mine who went with us was there 3 years ago and said it hasn't changed. As a few other people mentioned it would be a bit better if they only let a few people go at a time. When I went they sent through a whole lot of people at once and we were all on top of eachother. however I guess they want to get the line moving being that there was a 2 hour wait to get to the entrance.
