WOW!
Things like this make me believe that this new found "Muscle" era will be short lived. Too much power, too much traffic, not enough brains. Yes it costs money to go to the track but is speeding down a road worth a life. Yes, he walked away but maybe he wont be so lucky next time. Ok, I'm done!

Yeah, no doubt!! Makes you wonder how someone can do that much damage and still walk away. 5-star crash rating FTW!

No disrespect but after a crash like that crash tests have nothing to do with it. That was pure luck that he walked away from that. Amazing story. The pole is half way through the car!

IMO you are wrong. Look at that passenger compartment.
All else being equal, that same crash kills me in my 1st or 2nd gen and probably my 3rd gen, and I'm not testing that limit in a 4th gen. They make these cars much better now to make up for piss-poor driving.

I just believe that at those speeds and for this application its far beyond the limits these cars were tested to withstand.

The pictures tell a different story. The passenger compartment is just about unscathed. Not just pure luck involved.

um then why does the pole in the first and third pic look like its sitting where the passenger seat is? in the third pic you can see clearly that the pole is inside the car, just look at the passenger side window.
