Losing Power

After being stopped when I take off my rpm's will drop and I almost stall, any suggestions as to the cause?

Losing Power

Edelbrock 1406 Carb don't know about the distributor. Just got the car a few months aga. Carb and manifold new but rest of motor original with over 95k on it

my money is the carb. I used to have one om my 86 years ago and it sucked. The secondary air valve is not adjustable and it makes the car bog when you open the rear 2 barrels.

If you disconnect the little linkage piece on the passengerside of the car that opens the rear 2 barrels then drive, does it work any better? Mine would. I never did get the carb right. Im using a holley 4150 style on my new engine and its wonderful
