Random neat pics you took.
How about we post some of the pics we feel are rather cool, or just neat places you have been. I do a lot of boating in the summer, so I'll start with some boating/beach pics from last year.
Sail boats leaving Sag Harbor, NY for the late afternoon sail boat race. They total about 40 or so all together. Pretty cool to see them all compete in a 2 mile (end to end) oval around buoys. Some of these boats are surprisingly fast. Wish I had that money.
I launch my little boats here. The gray boat and the white and orange boat (second and third back in the pic) are both owned by Billy Joel. They have his daughters names on the transoms. Bumped into him a few times while launching, and he keeps to himself, walks with a limp, and is not much of a people person, but will lend a hand with a line if asked.
A jetty near Montauk, NY.
When I launch my little 16 foot boat, I have to drive past these behemoths to get out of the marina and into the bay. Talk about being owned.... What is nice is people on the big boats always wave, and we sound the horn and wave back. Boating is a lot like cars... Some people have an attitude towards your make/model, and others are just over all car enthusiasts. Lucky for me, these folks are nice and friendly. Some even invited us on their boat for a tour!

My folks and my sister both have a houses in South Hampton. Its about 5 minutes from my parents house to the Sag Harbor Marina where I launch.
My sister tells me the water is looking great, nice and clear, even though we had early warm weather. Looking forward to a few nice summer trips there.

My grandfather's property upstate NY has a creek that runs through it, so last year I took a hike through there.

lol damn, I figured it was an abandoned swimming pool at a motel or something like that. I skateboard, and spots like this have a big appeal to me as I always wanted to skate a real pool.

I found a birds nest outside my window in the fake palm trees. i looked at them almost everyday. they got pretty big fast but i don't have many pics day to day.
this is a couple days old
this is about 2 1/2 weeks right before they jumped out of the nest.
this is one of the fattys right after jumping out
and another.
i have a pond behind my fence and theres tons of bull frogs. found this little baby.
and later that day a storm coming in
