Atco Anyone?---5/27
Anyone for going to Atco Thursday May 27? I plan on making my first passes this week. I'll be going either way but it'd be cool to have some members down there to help me out WHEN I mess it up lol. Hopefully since its my birthday my car wont break

1)annhilate the rear tires during the burnout
2)roll up slowly till both top lights come on
3)hit the gas when the 3rd yellow light comes on
4)when you get to the end of the track, slow down & turn around
5)drive back and sit in staging lanes for a hour
6) repeat 1 through 5

Lol. Yeah not sure how im going to burn my tires and still not quite sure how ill be launching but that sounds good haha. I've never fully launched from a light so i don't know how the car is going to react. Shifting I feel I am pretty decent at it plus im sure ill be running hot since i still have the stock t-stat and no cooling fan manual override.

launch it at 2k ish as a starting point. Keep the throttle to the floor, use the clutch just a little between shifts. Temperature isn't going to hurt you with the times you will run.

Actually since it's a 6spd car:
1)annhilate the rear tires during the burnout(read that a quick spin)
2)roll up slowly till both top lights come on(the stage lights are right past the cone.)
3)hit the gas when the 3rd yellow light comes on(this)
3b)Pray the rear holds together
4)when you get to the end of the track, slow down & turn around(yup)
4a)stop at the booth and get your time slip.
5)drive back and sit in staging lanes for a hour(pretty much)
6) repeat 1 through 5(and have fun)

Their rules are silly, better to do no burnout ( Subys don't, why should you? ) , then plow into the staging lights, and then just nail the gas.
More fun that way.

Kinda like your first night at Atco. Ah yes, I remember it fondly! What did you run that night Matt? 14.4?
