unusual tint problem?

i got my hatch tinted today 20%...most of it looks good. toward the top where the bumps start looks crappy...like the tint didnt stick and there are bubbles. i know there are supposed to be bubbles the first few days but they arent exactly bubbles. i tried to snap a few pics but they came out crappy due to the reflection.

the guy at the place told me its usual for it to happen on camaros, which i highly doubt. the guy who actually put it on talked to me and said the car had body work and somebody welded a part on the hatch? and thats the reason the tint wasnt applied correctly toward the top of the hatch. so right off the bat there are two stories that dont match and it catches my attention.

does anybody have any stories like this getting their hatches tinted? i found it weird, especially since the other day i was in there he said the camaro hatch is really hard to tint i think they just half-assed it. i'll try to take some pics later if they come out differently.

you mean where there is the "dot matrix" **** at the very top? yeah the tint can't stick inbetween it too good. some people sand them down, others have painted it. no real way to get the tint to sit down in there unfortunately.

I believe my rear hatch tint goes up to the dot matrix and stops for that reason, ill have to look at it again.

yea, its tough to get it to stick up there, my vette has that problem, my 95 camaro and 98 trans am had it too
