check out what my buddy wrecked at work the other day

so as most of you know i work for a company that lets me drive cars of the entire automobile spectrum. the story with this car is we got it in a few weeks ago and it was being lent out to people who beat the crap out of it on the track. the tires had no tread left on them and my friend spun out on an on ramp without even really pushing it.

before

after

haha he didnt burn them. it goes out on loans and the people who they are loaned out to do. he wasnt fired the company has a sick insurance policy.

idk what the case was but i heard the viper doesnt have traction control, the roads were a little wet, and all the weight in the front might have caused it i heard. it has the srt10 motor maybe he underestimated the power? not quite sure he didnt want to talk about it. he hit his head twice in the accident and suffered a concussion

no offense but those tires have plenty of tread on them. these are the old tires on my 98z28 and had no problems with spinning out and i pushed them plenty hard up until that point. i'd say he was doing more than the allotted 25mph on the on ramp. id fire his ass.

i do agree there is enough tread on those tires. they say when abe's head is showing, approx 3/32", its time to replace the tires. hope the concussion is minor though.

nasty your tires are trash, don't be silly USED TO BE AN INSPECTION FAILURE!

Vipers are not easy cars to drive. Good tires or bad tires, the car is a nightmare.

Another vote for those tires are fine. Moral of the story is stop letting inexperienced drivers get behind the wheel of Vipers in the rain.

I consider myself to be a pretty damn good driver given my age and I wouldnt touch a car like that that didnt have T/C in the rain.

I agree with above the tires are fine and still legal. The driver over drove the ramp and ran out of skill real quick.

I read that the Viper has the highest mortality rate of any car. Knowing that I wouldnt test a car in rain regardless of tires.
