2013 Dodge Dart
I gotta be honest, I am super excited about this car. Dodge is releasing info ever so slowly about this car. It is supposed to be based on the Alfa Guilietta. Drivetrain info is limited, but we do know there will be Fiat's 1.4 turbo Multiair that is found in the upcoming Fiat 500 Abarth with a choice between a 6 speed dual clutch or a 9 speed auto, with the latter able to hit 40mpg.
And some pics of the interior:
What do you guys think? Official debut is at the Detroit show next year.

I'm still not sure why they keep bringing back old names. Seems like a decent little car with some tech thrown in.

I've been watching all the info trickle in for the past couple of weeks. I can't wait for the live unavailing in early January.

The IP looks sick, should be a cool car. The 9spd auto though....shesh. Ford is having issues with the DCT, and IIRC this is made by the same guys.

it's the rolling stops that suck, like making a left. I'm finding that is the one part of the cruze I don't like. But I just slap it in manual, knock it to 1st, step on the gas and knock it back over into auto mode. Works perfect, but I should not have to.

Because they have so many to choose from...Demon, Dart, Duster, Scamp, Swinger, Valiant. Why be original when someone already did the thinking!

They ruined the Charger name for me when they made it a sedan and now they are doing this to the Dart. They need to stop being lazy and come up with new names, stop ruining names that used to be muscle cars. I guess they figure more people will give it a look if they hear the name, might be a good car but I just dont like reusing the names. Did I mention I hate them using old names on new cars!! P.S. I want to see one of these American compacts as an AWD Turbo already.

It's nothing new.
Remember the 5th gen Nova? Or the 80's charger? Hell, a case can be made for the Impala too.

Don't even mention the Nova!!! That could be the worst rename ever. You are right but it still bothers me no matter what company does it. The only time it doesn't bother me is when they get it right, which in my eyes is the Challenger. I am not a Mopar person but I love that car.

My original post started "Now I know you will drive down 287 and shoot me in the face for this, but..."
LOL
Personally I thought they did a good job with the 94-96 Impala SS cars.

I like it and its not because Im a Chevy guy, there are many vehicles they have made that I dont like! It remained a coupe, they offer nostalgic features and it has a nice powerplant. A 69 recreation, no but a muscle car none the less. When I hear Dodge Dart, I dont hink 4 doors, 4 cylinders and 40 mpg!
