Car Magazines

I'm thinking about subscribing to a mag or two. I used-to be a subscriber to Hot Rod and Car Craft. Hot Rod always featured cars that were amazing, but I never really found much helpful information. Car Craft was really great, as it seemed to be aimed at the "budget builder." I was a subscriber in '05 up to about '09 when they went to a new, more polished format along with material that just didn't interest me anymore. It seemed like everything was about Gen III chevy stuff.

What's out there that is a good read? I'd like something that isn't brand specific, like Camaro mags or Chevy mags, for example. Car Craft was nice because you'd get a taste of numerous different makes/models with odd-ball cars thrown in there. Any good reads that aren't under big-name media corps like most magazines are? Source Interlink Media seems to have a big chunk of the market, I would be cool if there are still some small-time rags out there worth reading
