Lightbulb headliner for 3rd gen needed.

I am looking for a gray carpet for my 89 trans am. I dont really care if there are any minor stains like rust or oil. I just need a replacement for what isnt there. As long as there isn't and major rips, or burns.

I am willing to pick it up if it is local, if not i will pay shipping plus the cost of the carpet. P.M. me with a price or whatever.

If there is some rips and not chunks taken out of the carpet, it would work for me. Either way the carpet will be steam cleaned and repaired as good as possible before install. the under insulation is'nt needed, just the carpet.

I have one out of 95 you can have for cheap. I've never owned a 3rd gen, but have heard people swap some 4th-gen stuff into them. The carpet isn't an direct swap, and will require some trimming to fit. But if you want it for cheap & local, I got it laying around.
Again, this is all from what I've heard. I suggest you do your due-diligence before taking a $40 gamble and committing to cutting.

It's out of the '95, the one with the "Dark Gray Interior." It will come with the underside insulation. Come by and check it out first if you'd like--condition, color, size, whatever.

If you'd like me to hold it for you, PM me and we'll figure out the remaining logistics.

Just buy new from abs...best fit and finish. If your cardboard backing is good, you can get speaker box carpet and just recover it yourself..cheap and effective. I used 3m spray on glue for my old s10 and looked fantastic. Buying used may be a gamble...backing could be shot and the uninstall/reinstall swap could facilitate it f'ing up quickly in the near future.

Getting 2-3 yards of fabric (hell, even a microsuede) would run under $20 at Michaels and the like. 2 cans of Super77, a heat gun, and 2 hours time and you have yourself a new headliner. This all depends on if you already have a backing, though. If you need a hand one weekend when you're in town, feel free to let me know. I've done a few before and they're pretty painless.

*edit*
Also, I spoke with Mark earlier and he'll be by today. He got swamped the other day, and then our schedules didn't coordinate thereafter. Just wanted to update you and let you know we didn't forget.

I was thinking of fiberglassing my own backing. I have tons of foam and other material to make the mold.
