Appears all associated press websites are buzzing about it and his rep confirmed. Porsche Carrera gt. Appears a lot of celebs have died in Porsche's.......james dean, ryan dunn, and now this guy. Filming of fast 7 is only partially completed too...shame, I liked the dude...was a real car guy.
So, does anyone else think that picture is a little off for a car that nailed a tree? Seems like the car got clipped by something then maybe hit the tree to come to a stop but a dead on tree hit is different results than that..
Furthermore, some of the reports claim that the car was being driven by the lead driver of some race car team, so how in the world could he lose control so badly...?
And then to really toss on the tin foil hat, another report says the accident was close enough to the charity that people ran to it with fire extinguishers to help put out the blaze..so either he was coming to it and the reports have it backwards, or somehow he left it, and got the car to mach 1 in less than a city block...
IDK. Odd to me.

He was on his way to the charity by what I've read. He was meeting the person who was driving to go to it and they drove the car they did because it was a car show/charity even paul walker started. And to the person asking about the rest of the scene as sad as it sounds there's actually a video on facebook a person took or the scene before police or the fire departments arrived with the car up in flames. The worst part is in the video the people who took it were more concerned about what kind of car it was and to park somewhere else because it was going to blow up. Even when they saw someone in the car they continued to film and not even try and help. Its disgusting.

i agree the car looks like it lost control then hit the tree and got split in half. should be interesting to hear the the police come up with once they do their investigation

Nick. My phone won't let me copy it. I think its on my fb from lastnight when I found it. I rwd a newer article before and it said that speed was the possible cause of the accident but it wasn't definitely comfirmed yet.

Yup. EMT/Fire guys might confirm that logic too. If the people inside can't be saved why risk other lives for no reason? Still sounds like a jerky thing to say, but rings true.
And for what it's worth, google 34.45323, -118.578837 and then street view.
How many of us would screw around on this road during off hours? And supposedly the driver was a seasoned pro driver.
Just shows that anything can happen.
wow looks like a damn track
